I Asked

I asked for favor,
And I was given tests,
I asked for growth,
And I was betrayed and stretched,
I asked for wisdom,
And I had to solve many problems,
I asked for help,
And you sent me the needy,
I asked for gifts,
And you taught me to love, heal, and deliver.

I asked to know you better,
And you gave me dreams, visions,
And a pen to write your words.

I asked for breakthrough,
And you put a sword in my hand
And fire in my spirit!

The Young Lion

The Young,

The foolish,

Those full of themselves,

Those seeking their own ways...

The ways of the flesh,

And the lies of the world,

They will suffer.

But those who seek the Lord,

And follow the Lord's ways

Shall not lack any good thing,

They will be cared for,

They will have favor,

They will have God's protection

They will have God's blessings

They will have God's peace in their heart

And God's joy will be their lot.

(Psalm 34:10) The young lions lack and suffer hunger;

But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
