Thought for the week

We might be shaken but we will not fall!

Do you know who you are?

Who are you when no one is looking?
What are you core beliefs?

What has your heart and your thoughts?
What type of words come out of your mouth?
What has your time and money?
What would you live and die for?

Do you know what type of image or message you project?
Do you inspire others to be like you or to have what you have?

Our foundation is built on who and what we are,
Who and what we are is based on what we believe,
What we believe is based on what we put
into our mind and heart.
What we become and what we will have is based
not only on what we believe but also on what we speak.

God tells us to build a firm foundation, to guard our mind, heart and our words.So that when the storms of life hit,even though we might be shaken...we will not fall!

Thought for the week...

It's a new day...So try a new way...
Try it God's way!

It' A New Day

Sometimes when things fall apart or end,
A person can seem to come apart or unravel,
They get stuck in a place and either are unaware
or fear holds them there.

Think of what is lost by not moving on,
The things you miss out on,
The experiences you never have,
The joy you never feel,
The chance at happiness that escapes you,
The people you never meet or get close to,
The places you never travel to.

Why?
All because you were once hurt,
So you now refuse to live,
So you place yourself in your own
man made coffin of fear and distrust.
What a sad and lonely place to be in.

Why not call it a new day?

Why not look to God the miracle maker and
ask Him to help you out.
Why not place your trust in God?
Why not take a shot at happiness?

Crazy Hope

When all seems lost,
And you see no hint of hope,
When it seems that every door is shut,
Nothing is working out,
and everyone has given up.

Yet something deep within you cries out,
Telling not to give up,
It tells you to trust and believe,
To pray and look to God.

So against all odds,
Againgst all beliefs you have ever had.
Against every stronghold and ostatcle,
You take a stand.

It is you and God,
against all the circumstances.
Something deep inside you rises up,
You dare to see it, to believe it,
And then you declare it.
You wait,
And with that crazy hope,
You expect.

May Your Heart Sing

(Here is something for the new year.)

May your lips speak new words,
May you have new sight and new vision,
May you dream big dreams,
May you dare to do new things,
To travel to new places,
To get out of your comfort zone,
To run hard after the things of God.

May you search deep within yourself
until you uncover the secret place
deep within you that has kept your
dreams locked up tight.

And may you find God's key that
unlocks them and sets them free,
So that you will be filled
with so much joy..
That God places a new song in your heart
That you must sing...
And live out.

Power to Change

As I read God's word I learn,
As I learn new things I grow,
As I grow I change.

I change my thoughts,
I change my beliefs,
I change my actions,
I change the road I travel on,
And I change my future.
